Vivian Campbell, another sloppy joker, who was good on the Dio albums, but after that, I never ever had any feelings towards him as a player, He never touched my soul and inspired me to want to become a guitar player like John Sykes did . Coverdale was jealous of Sykes because he was bigger than him as a star and he didn’t want that. Coverdale wanted these little jokers that he could hire on a salary and fool the world. A great song from a great album. The album this tune is from, Slide it in, doesn't have a single bad track on it. It is fully loaded with first-class, soulful and bluesy hard rock. The lyrics are sensual and sensitive nonsense, as often is the case with David Coverdale's lyrics, but his singing abilities and charisma throw all objections away. All musicians on this tune and the album it is from are real professionals. The producer, Martin Birch, did a solid work on it as well, with its warm and cosy sound. This is music from a time when music mattered more than today, both artistically and economically. Most of today's music seems like dead meat in comparison.

Oh man in some of these blurry shots David Coverdale looks like Dave Mustaine- But i think it’s actually the other way around and Dave knew this back in 85’ and went for that look 😂. But I mean what up and coming 80’s rock musician wouldn’t aspire to be living the life style of David Covedale in the fucking mid 80’s.
